Description:EnergyC2, LLC, is a green energy management company. Our markets are Energy Curtailment and Solar (installation and management) and then some… (patents pending). This project is specifically Energy Curtailment Management related. (Multiple office buildings in NYC). We are developing a product which will be sold in an ASP mode. Energy Management Curtailment is the industry of managing “Energy Events” on a specific power-grid. Example: If a major Power Company in a city calls an “Event” for tomorrow between 1PM and 4PM, they expect major power cutbacks of energy from the “Curtailment” companies who have major amounts of “client sites” signed up for curtailment programs within that grid. (lower consumption) If an office building has 500 “offices” signed up in the program, they (Curtailment Company) respond through a portal by raising the temperature 2 degrees or more per office (summer example). This could also result in dimming the lights, or shutting down an elevator bank. This all results in the Curtailment company and the building owners receiving a “Carbon Credit” being issued of upwards of $40,000. per building per event. That’s the motivation of the Curtailment company to partner with us.
Our job is to manage these events via thermostats, lights, air handlers, chillers, or whatever through our websites. We create the portals where the Curtailment companies create and manage their events for their subscriber buildings. This is just the beginning of what we do. There is much more when we include touch-pads. (Security, Fire, Device management).
We are looking for a Sr. Level DotNet developer with DotNetNuke experience (MUST have). SharePoint development experience is a bonus. This resource will be required to Architect and help develop high level client portals for the Energy Management industry. An average portal will manage 700+ offices within an office building. We are basing our first portal release on DotNetNuke technology and then we will probably be moving development towards SharePoint 2007. C# development and RSS Feeds from the Energy ISO and Weather feeds affect the price of energy which result in the ambient temperature in subscribing offices that have signed up for “the program”. This is all part of it and the reporting requirements.
